1. We're ready to listen

If a loved one of yours has recently died, or if they are nearing the end of their life, we'll gladly help you to make the arrangements. The first step is to give us a call.

2. Collecting your loved one

We don't need to collect your loved one immediately, so please take your time in saying your goodbyes. Once you're ready for us, we'll bring them into our care.

3. Supporting you and your family

Whilst your loved one is resting safely in our state-of-the-art mortuary facilities, we'll guide you through all the legal paperwork, ensuring the cremation can go ahead smoothly.

4. A chance to say farewell

We know that it's important for some families to say goodbye at a ceremony before the cremation. If you would like, we can help you to arrange a simple, low-cost ceremony at a local crematorium.

5. The cremation

For those without a ceremony, we'll make sure to let you know at what time the cremation will take place, so that you can have a moment of quiet reflection to yourself.

6. Your loved one's ashes

Depending on what you'd like, we can either hand-deliver the ashes to you at home within 21 days. Or we can scatter them respectfully on your behalf at the crematorium's own Garden of Remembrance.

Would my loved one want a Direct Cremation?: A Direct Cremation provides a different way for people to express themselves than a traditional funeral. If your loved one would have been uncomfortable with flower displays and a funeral procession, this type of ceremony lets you do away with all that, instead giving you the chance to reflect their personality in the way things unfold. Normally the ceremony is unattended, but if you think it would be best, we can easily arrange for the service to be attended by guests. We can organise everything for you with ease in Derby, from the escorting of your loved one to the crematorium, to the ceremony itself, followed by the hand-delivery of their ashes to you at home. If you prefer, we could scatter them at the crematorium's garden of remembrance -- whatever you think would be best. The service is a concise and respectful way of honouring your loved one exactly as they would have wanted, giving you the chance to do right by them.
