1. We're ready to listen

If a loved one of yours has recently died, or if they are nearing the end of their life, we'll gladly help you to make the arrangements. The first step is to give us a call.

2. Collecting your loved one

We don't need to collect your loved one immediately, so please take your time in saying your goodbyes. Once you're ready for us, we'll bring them into our care.

3. Supporting you and your family

Whilst your loved one is resting safely in our state-of-the-art mortuary facilities, we'll guide you through all the legal paperwork, ensuring the cremation can go ahead smoothly.

4. A chance to say farewell

We know that it's important for some families to say goodbye at a ceremony before the cremation. If you would like, we can help you to arrange a simple, low-cost ceremony at a local crematorium.

5. The cremation

For those without a ceremony, we'll make sure to let you know at what time the cremation will take place, so that you can have a moment of quiet reflection to yourself.

6. Your loved one's ashes

Depending on what you'd like, we can either hand-deliver the ashes to you at home within 21 days. Or we can scatter them respectfully on your behalf at the crematorium's own Garden of Remembrance.

Would my loved one have opted for a Direct Cremation?: We often find that a Direct Cremation is chosen by those who don't want to make a fuss of themselves, and who are looking for something quiet without the typical formalities of a standard funeral. If your loved one would have been uneasy with things like big floral tributes or a funeral procession, then this option might suit them, as they are not normally included. In fact, the ceremony is usually completely unattended by anyone, but if you would like to be there with friends and family, we can arrange that. We can take care of things smoothly in Huddersfield for you: we would arrange the collection of your loved one from where they are resting, and escort them to the crematorium for their ceremony.
